Keyboard Lessons
Introduction to Keyboard
The keyboard introduces children of all ages to reading both treble and bass clefs, which is of enormous benefit if a child wants to try learning a second instrument or singing in a choir.
Keyboard allows the easiest and most direct access to a real understanding of music theory i.e. how music is put together by composers, thereby opening the doorway to composing and arranging.
Beginning on a keyboard is a very affordable way for parents to let their children try 'piano lessons' without committing themselves to investing in a piano before they are sure the child is going to continue.
Keyboard music is a great form of mental training. Through systematic development of eye-mind-hand coordination children can be taught to think about, cope with and do several things at once.

Guitar Lessons
Introduction to Guitar
An acoustic guitar is great fun to play on your own or with others, and being so light, it's very easy to bring to performance venues, or even just to parties/family get-togethers.
Guitar lends itself to playing by ear and is often suitable for students whose aim is to sing and accompany themselves. Guitar is a very expressive, absorbing instrument which lends itself to song-writing, improvisation and development of real musicality.
Guitar, as with all musical instruments, promotes self discipline and self-esteem which has related benefits in school work and life generally.

Rock Bands
Introduction to Rock Band
It's exciting to be a part of a Rock Band - with lots of live performance opportunities each school year! Capable musicians come together to learn, rehearse, and perform songs all while developing their teamwork and communication skills.
PMI CC Rock Bands provide a great platform for our students to succeed in High School bands and our members have even been known to start their own garage-bands after Primary School.

We also aim for these to add incredible value to your school, hence the minimal fee and only inviting the school's most capable musicians.
Program Details
PMI Rock Band programs include a weekly 45 minute full band rehearsal, focused on playing performance pieces, working together, and learning about music equipment! Exact lesson length will vary and includes time required to collect students from their classroom / students to arrive to the PMI CC lesson room.

Rock Band is by invitation-only as we seek a great outcome for the school and for the band members as well as acknowledging that there are limited places are available.

Clubs
Introduction to Clubs, like Ukulele and Djembe Drum
PMI CC's Clubs such as Ukulele Club or Djembe Drum Club are typically run during school recess/lunch times and aim to provide a fun and engaging musical activity with minimal focus on theory. We offer these clubs at a significantly low price to include as many students as possible and to provide a meaningful contribution to the school.
There is a large emphasis on performance - and most of all - the program is guaranteed to be loud and fun!
Program Details
The weekly Clubs are held in groups of 5+ students (depending on instrument availability) for 30 minutes. Exact Club size and time duration of rehearsals is subject to the level of student participation and length of recess/lunch (where relevant).
All equipment and materials are provided to the school by PMI CC (i.e. at no additional cost to students). Weekly Clubs are typically held during recess/lunch depending on your school's preference.

Customised Programs
Every school is different! We are very happy to discuss the needs of your particular school and design a tailored program. For example, we have offered successful lessons to "special needs" schools, deaf and blind students, high school students and parents.

Excitingly, we also offer online lessons via Zoom.
